What are the things I can do to prevent static buildup in my hands when handling my parts?

Have your PSU plugged in and sitting next to you or installed in your case while building and just touch it or the case before you handle any parts. Because the plugged in PSU is grounded touching it or the metal case it's attached to will eliminate any static buildup you might have. If you're really worried you can always get a static wristband but most find them unnecessary.
