Then a user said, "Get a 4670k and a Z87 mobo. It would suck that you have a high end GPU and a locked processor."

How hard is it to overclock for the first time? it scares me. I think I'll mess something up and I've heard it voids warranties. I know they make unlocked CPU's AND GPU's JUST for OCing...

This is what I came up with if I were to OC. I chose the H100i because I see it used quite a bit here and for liquid cooling its quite easy.

I'm assuming you have access to microcenter.

Don't get that motherboard. Just because it's z87 doesn't mean it will overlock, well or at all. That particular one is pretty terrible for OCing.

For the same price, get this one, it's much nicer, and it is one of the available bundles that Microcenter offers with the 4670K. Buy them together, and the motherboard essentially becomes $104.99
