Oh boy this is late.

My monitor, Dell 2405FPW (old but still kicking FTW) has a native resolution of 1920x1200 and it's 24". However, sometimes when I change to 1920x1200 in the nVidia control panel (or the built in Windows tool to change resolution), it looks like it extends off screen, like it doesn't fit (extends horizontally, vertical fits). So I switch to 1680x1050 and it fits.

But then other times I got to 1920x1200 and it works fine. It completely fills the screen and doesn't extend beyond the screen.

I don't get it. I have a MSI Twin Frozr GTX 760. I am connected to the VGA port on the montior and using a DVI adapter (not sure if connected to DVI-I or DVI-D, probably DVI-I, since it's VGA).

Thoughts? Is it just my monitor being old? I'm probably looking at getting a DVI-D cable anyway.

I would look at the menu options for the monitor, the buttons on the edge. Try using auto adjust or horizontal/vertical adjustments to get it to fit.
