I'm currently building my first rig, I have a very tight budget and I have a few questions. I can't decide if it's worth it to go for an overclocking rig or not. If i get a 'K' cpu I need a 'Z' motherboard and an after market cooler eventually for when I do overclock. I'm mainly going to be gaming with the rig. Should I get the OC-able parts or just stick to the normal stuff.

If you're on a tight budget I wouldn't bother. You won't be CPU limited in games anyway (assuming you're talking about an i5), and like you said the additional costs mount up.
