Check the bottom of the page on his PCPP list, there are some compatibility issues (according to them, I can't confirm). One thing I'd recommend is to drop the Kingston SSD and go for an Evo.
The ssd now is garbage... not worth his money in my opinion. If he wants to overclock or sli the board he chose is fine. If he wants to overclock the cpu he''ll need the 3570k. If not get an h77 board it will be cheaper and if he dumps the ssd and gets a cheaper board it would probably give him enough money to get a 770.
First of all, that RAM runs at 1.65 volts and the Ivy Bridge architecture only supports 1.5. So I would suggest finding some that is only 1.5. Shouldn't be too hard.
Second, get a higher-end air cooler for your CPU. Water coolers that cheap aren't any better other then for noise. You could save a few pounds by getting an air cooler.
For the SSD, don't go with a V300. Go with a V500, V550, or an EVO. For price compensation, go with 120GB and then buy a 1TB HDD or SSHD (a hybrid).
personally I would go with something more like this. I added a 1TB HDD so you have more room for storage. I also added a Haswell CPU which is newer than the Ivy Bridge you previously had.
