I've got computer parts coming in Monday and Tuesday next week and I know what I'm doing, but I'm nervous about doing the thermal paste wrong.

What's the right way to apply thermal paste to an i5 processor with a Coolermaster TX3 heatsink? I've seen the line method, pea sized blob method, and the spread it with your finger in a plastic bag method. It's AS5 paste.

Use the pea-sized blob method. Don't spread it, the sink will do that for you.
