Mini Review: Scinic The Simple Daily Lotion I have dry sensitive skin. It's a light weight madecassoside emulsion, that is slightly acidic and very mild. Clearly meant for to be worn under sunscreen. It's a thin white non opaque emulsion. Dries down fast to light siliconey feel. I like the texture but it doesn't hold up as well as the day wears on. I prefer a creamier emulsion or a light gel cream for AM in summer and even fall. I only have samples (10 pack). Now I have samples of the barrier cream comming.

If you like the Etude Soonjung Emulsion, you might enjoy this as this is clearly Scinic's dupe or competition for that line. The madecassoside is lower down but the aloe and while lilly are soothing. Aloe and madecassoside is a pretty nice combo. I haven't used SJ emulsion one in ages, but I'd say this a bit more moisturizing, but still really light.

In the end I just don't have a huge need for an emulsion this light. If it's really humid again next summer, I might try it for under sunscreen. I prefer the toner, which is light but still hydrating. This has aloe, silicone, white lilly and madecassoside and a bit of HA and some olivates for moisture. Etudes version has pathanol and squalane, green tea and madecassoside is higher.
